Flu Clinic Dates
This year we are being asked to vaccinate more patients than ever before but due to the Covid Pandemic to ensure the safety of our patients, our flu clinics will look different.
Q When will I get my flu vaccine
A: Our vaccines arrive in the surgery in early September and we will be in a position to start vaccinating patients from the 8th September right through until the end of November in a number of locations.
Q How will I know when and where to go for my vaccine
A: Our clinics will not be drop in sessions as in previous years and to ensure the safety of patients and staff we will be contacting patients individually with a date, venue and time slot to attend for the vaccine.
Q Why do I have to attend at a set time
A: This will ensure the safety of our patients and staff and that we are following the guidance for social distancing.
Q What if I can’t make that time
A: If you can’t make this slot we will offer you another date to attend at the end of the planned programme – there is no need to contact us.
Q I am over 50 how to get my free flu vaccination
A: We have been asked by NHS England to begin with those at the highest risk and are awaiting further guidance regarding the over 50s free vaccination
Q What steps have the practice taken to ensure my safety
A: We will be giving our patients set time slots to avoid overcrowding
We will be having addition venues and dates to attend
We will be taking extra infection control measure and our staff will be wearing PPE
Additional staff will be in attendance to ensure you don’t have to wait any longer than necessary
Q How can I help to ensure I get my vaccine safely
A: Don’t attend if you have any symptoms of Covid-19
It is important that you stick to your time slot
Wear a face covering when you attend
Ensure you maintain a safe distance
Follow the instructions given to you by our staff at the clinic
Be patient and courteous to others
