Medical Receptionist/Telephonist

20 – 30 hours per week

£9.35 after successful probationary period

Larwood Health Partnership is a GP Practice based over 5 sites. We believe in delivering a first class service to our patients and are rated as “Outstanding” by CQC. Our patient list size continues to grow and as a result we are looking for a conscientious individual to complement our team of expert Medical Receptionists/Telephonists.

You will need to have at least 2 years’ experience in a customer service based role and/or working as part of a team within a very busy and, at times pressurised, office environment.

Initiative, empathy, good written and verbal communication skills, resilience, confidentiality and common sense are essential as you will be dealing with sensitive confidential information on a daily basis.

Grades 4 – 9 GCSE are required (or equivalent- previously C or above ) in 5 subjects including Maths and English.

The hours of the post are flexible to meet the needs of the organisation and may range from 08:00 am to 20:00 pm as well as weekends on a rota basis.

You may be required to work at any of our sites in Worksop, Langold, Carlton and Harworth and will be given your rota at least 3 weeks in advance.

Pharmacy Technician

30-37.5 Hours Per Week

Salary Range £24,000-£29,000 depending on skills and qualifications

Larwood Health Partnership have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will play an important role, complementing clinical pharmacists, community pharmacists and other members of the Primary Care Network multi-disciplinary team, working under the supervision of the Pharmacists to ensure effective and efficient use of medicines.

You will support Larwood Health Partnership and Bawtry and Blyth Medical Centre with a range of services to get the best value from medicines by encouraging electronic prescriptions, safe repeat prescribing systems, and timely monitoring and management of high-risk medicines. You may be asked to undertake a patient facing roles to undertake medication reviews and ensure effective medicines use.

You will be involved with medication reviews and medicines reconciliation for care home patients and synchronise medicines for patient transfers between care settings, linking with local community pharmacists, and referring to the pharmacist for structured medication reviews. You will follow initiatives to reduce antibiotic prescribing, and medicine wastage. You will be expected to perform audits and present information electronically and verbally as part of your role. Supervising practice reception teams in sorting and streaming general prescription requests, so as to allow GPs and clinical pharmacists to review the more clinically complex requests.

As a Pharmacy Technicians it is important that you have great attention to detail and are conscientiousness in your daily work. You must have excellent communication and customer service skills, along with IT and Maths skills and have 5 GCSE grades 4-9 (C or above) in Maths and English .You must be organised and able to prioritise and must abide by confidentiality procedures at all times, as well as be able to remain calm in a busy environment.

All pharmacy technicians must have completed or be enrolled in an approved 18-month training pathway (e.g. Primary care pharmacy educational pathway (PCPEP) or Medicines Optimisation in Care Homes (MOCH)) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

(The Primary Care Network may consider a Trainee Pharmacy technician if they have experience and skills within a Pharmacy or a GP Practice. They must however be willing to start the approved 18-month training and must register with the General Pharmaceutical Council as soon as employed)

Physician Associate

30-37.5 Hours p/w

Salary £30,000-£43,000 depending on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Physician Associate to join the Larwood Health Partnership as part of the Primary Care Network with Bawtry and Blyth.

You will have completed your MSc/Pg Dip in Physician Associates Studies. Your duties within this role will involve undertaking face to face (in the Practice and at the patient’s home), telephone and electronic forms of consultations with patients of all ages as an autonomous practitioner. The Practice currently uses the AskmyGP system which aims to deal with all patients on the day they contact us. Therefore, it is important you can deliver high quality care in a timely manner, ensuring complete and accurate documentation is maintained.
